Objective: My objective is to provide consistent reliable results in a challenging and beneficial environment. Education: BA Geography The University of Texas at Austin 1999 Current Employment: Texas Department of Transportation August 2005 to Present- I am the Mapping Branch Supervisor in the Data Management Section of the Transportation Planning and Programming Division. In this capacity I am responsible for the statewide data quality of GIS assets, staffing, training, motivation, administration and leadership of 17 TxDOT employees. Core job duties for the branch include Cartography, GPS data collection and GIS data development in SDE for on system roadways, railways, railroad crossings, county roads, functionally classified city streets and urban areas. Major data projects to date include the migration of legacy mainframe data for railroads and crossings, functionally classified city streets and county roads into SDE. Mapping products include the State Departmental Map, State Railroad Map, District Control Section Maps, County Mapbook and the Statewide Planning Map as well as numerous special request that range from Transportation Commission maps to Hurricane Evacuation maps. Current Achievements: Designed, Built and Deployed the Statewide Planning Map. Created, Administered and Maintained Enterprise Datasets in ArcCatalog. Developed GIS data structure and editing workflow in ArcSDE. Created QA/QC process for Transportation Linework and Event Tables. Developed performance plans and conducted employee evaluations. Developed job simulations, interview questions and conducted interviews. Developed productivity tools for the collection and assimilation of GPS data. Created a series of mapbooks used by Texas Counties to update County Road Information. Managed the development of Roadbed linework for TxDOT On System Roadways. Managed the development Functionally Classified City Streets linework for Texas cities. Built custom tables in Sharepoint to track projects and administer Mapping Branch activities.
